The Leper Milling and Chicken Project

Mark 1:40-42 (NIV) A man with leprosy approached Jesus, saying, “if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus healed him with a touch.

Founder, Pamela Wendtland found herself among a leper community on one of her first trips (2010) She had been on a medical mission and had asked to go into the rural community to mission and pray over anyone that may need it.  That day, she was driven to Nkungi Village in central Tanzania Africa.  The driver knew this community of lepers and recognized her heart and took her there.  Upon their arrival, Pamela saw a woman sitting on the side of the dirt road with her missing fingers and the palm of her hand with her head resting it that.  She quickly jumped out of the vehicle and ran to sit beside her.  Although they didn’t speak the same language, Pamela began to pray for her – asking God to provide hope and a future.  The lady named Elizabeth, looked at Pamela with tears in her eyes and asked her: “why are you here – why are you praying over me?”  Pamela’s response – because God brought me here.  God loves me therefore I love you.

That day’s event changed the course of Pamela’s life.  She never forgot this community.  She was contacted many times to help but knew when the time was right, God would take her back.  Fast forward to April 2025 and Pamela was reunited with this community and best of all – Elizabeth.  They hugged and Elizabeth remembered her too.

We have listened carefully to the needs and have jumped into action to provide for their needs.

  • They were struggling to get into their homes so we poured cement ramps so they can easily enter and exit.
  • We purchased 22 chickens to start a project for them to sell eggs and to get more chicks for production.
  • We purchased a “Milling Machine” for their community so they can grind their corn into flour and other things.  This machine helps them strive and survive.

All these projects take money to grow and to maintain.  Your donations will help us pay for their electricity to run the machine.  It will help, with chicken feed and for food for their own community.  The needs are great but slowly we are making a difference in their lives.

We are a 501 (c) 3 non profit organization registered in the state of Wisconsin.
